MAR Fund: Request for Proposals 2026

MAR Fund is accepting proposals under its 2026 Request for Proposals, supporting conservation of the Mesoamerican Reef across Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras. Two funding windows are open: a Traditional Small Grants window (up to US$30,000 for projects up to 17 months, or US$50,000 for 18–24 months) supporting sustainable livelihoods, protected-area resilience, wastewater and waste management, and fish spawning aggregation protection; and a Reef Rescue Initiative window (up to US$33,000, up to 24 months) supporting coral restoration, bleaching response, and disease-prevention techniques, open across the whole MAR region. Eligible applicants include community-based, women’s, and Indigenous organizations, NGOs, government and academic institutions, and individuals with NGO administrative support. A minimum 25% match (cash or in-kind) is required. Questions are accepted until 22 September 2026.
