Mission

ECOP Thailand builds a bridge between generations and countries to nurture the next wave of ocean experts. We foster the exchange of holistic and innovative ideas to safeguard marine ecosystems, create sustainable ocean solutions, and ensure youth voices shape policy for the ocean we envision.

Vision

Fostering a collaborative and inclusive community of ECOPs to develop leadership skills and expertise, enabling ECOPs to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals for “the Ocean We Want”.

Seminar Series

In support of the ECOP Programme’s mission under the UN Decade to empower early career ocean professionals through inclusive and locally relevant engagemen, the seminar series serve as a platform for early-career scientists, students, practitioners, and community members to share their work, exchange ideas, and build networks that support sustainable ocean solutions. By conducting the sessions in the local language, we aim to bridge the gap between global ocean science dialogues and local realities, strengthening regional capacity and promoting equity in ocean knowledge.

ขอเชิญชวนทำแบบสำรวจเพื่อเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเลไทย

This survey is conducted by ECOP Thailand to monitor ongoing changes and engage the Marine Scientist Network community in shaping the direction of Thailand’s marine science contributions to the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030). Our goals include:
- Tracking shifts in research focus, collaborations, and engagement within the marine science community.
- Gathering input on suggestions, challenges, and priority issues from stakeholders in marine and ocean-related sectors.
- Using the data to update the national Marine Scientist Network and support the strategic planning of ECOP Thailand initiatives.
The current survey builds upon our existing database established in 2020 (B.E. 2563) during the Thailand Marine Science Conference, as illustrated in the attached network map. Results from all years will be analyzed together to track progress and refine future action plans.

แบบสำรวจนี้จัดทำขึ้นโดย ECOP Thailand โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อติดตามการเปลี่ยนแปลงและแจ้งข่าวสารให้แก่เครือข่ายนักวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเลไทยเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการมีส่วนร่วมในวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเลภายใต้ the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (ค.ศ. 2021 - 2030) หรือ ทศวรรษแห่งสหประชาชาติว่าด้วยวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเลเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (พ.ศ. 2564 - 2573) ซึ่งมีเป้าหมาย ดังนี้
- ติดตามการเปลี่ยนแปลงของประเด็นการวิจัย ความร่วมมือ และการมีส่วนร่วมของนักวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเลไทย
- รวบรวมข้อเสนอแนะ ความท้าทาย และประเด็นสำคัญจากผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับทะเลและมหาสมุทร
- นำข้อมูลที่ได้มาใช้ในการปรับปรุงฐานข้อมูลเครือข่ายนักวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเลของประเทศไทย และวางแผนการดำเนินงานของ ECOP Thailand
แบบสำรวจนี้เป็นงานต่อยอดจากฐานข้อมูลที่เราจัดทำไว้ในปี พ.ศ. 2563 ระหว่างการประชุมวิชาการวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเลของประเทศไทย โดยได้มีการจัดทำแผนที่เครือข่ายตามแผนภาพด้านล่าง ซึ่งข้อมูลของแบบสำรวจทั้งหมดจะถูกนำมาวิเคราะห์ร่วมกัน เพื่อกำหนดแนวทางการดำเนินงานและสนับสนุนการพัฒนาวงการวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเลไทยในอนาคต
