OCEAN NETWORKS

Connecting the Global Ocean Community

This directory showcases a global list of ocean-related and ocean-focused communities: organizations, networks, groups and programmes providing opportunities for youth and Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOPs).

The aim of this page is to improve visibility of such opportunities, and to support participation and engagement of the youth and ECOPs across the global ocean landscape. The vast majority of these entities represent great networking opportunities to meet peers and senior professionals sharing your interests!

You can filter the table below through: :

  • Country: where the entity is headquartered (note that many networks are decentralized)
  • Geographical scope: the scope of activity of the entity (national, regional, international)
  • Support types: the type of opportunities provided by the entity
  • Topics: ocean-related area(s) of focus (social sciences cover ocean governance and policy)

If you would like to submit an additional group, network, organisation or programme to this list, please fill in the form below.

This directory has been created by the ECOP Programme and its update is a joint effort with the initiative GEO Blue Planet, generously supported by the project EU4OceanObs and implemented by Mercator Ocean International.
