IOC Internship Programme
The Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO is accepting applications on a rolling basis for its internship programme, open to students in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree, or enrolled in or recently graduated (within the past 12 months) from a Master’s or PhD programme. Interns are placed at IOC headquarters, field offices, or institutes for a period of one to six months, gaining hands-on experience in ocean science, policy, or capacity development work. The internship is unpaid. Applicants who meet the criteria join a talent pool; their candidacy remains valid for six months, and hiring managers reach out directly when a matching placement becomes available.
