Call for Proposals Mangroves, Blue Carbon Markets, and 30×30 in Asia

Blue Action Fund is accepting proposals under a new funding window on mangrove ecosystems and blue carbon development in Asia. Individual grants of EUR 2 to 4 million are available to charitable NGOs and NGO consortia for projects in Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam or India, from a total envelope of up to EUR 17 million. Projects must combine area based conservation, meaning new or better managed protected areas and OECMs, with the protection, restoration and sustainable use of mangroves covering a minimum of 1,000 ha, and must advance a high integrity blue carbon initiative toward carbon crediting under a recognised standard such as Plan Vivo, Verra VM0033 or Gold Standard, aiming for national authorisation under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. Projects must run five years or less, provide match funding of at least 25% of total project costs, build on documented pre-feasibility or feasibility assessments, and carry endorsement from the national authority. Applications use the Blue Action grant application template and are submitted by email to grants@blueactionfund.org.
