6th International Symposium on the Ocean in a High-CO2 World

The 6th International Symposium on the Ocean in a High-CO2 World brings together the global research community working on ocean acidification, marine carbon dioxide removal, deoxygenation, and other ocean change drivers, taking place 13–16 October 2026 in Wellington, New Zealand. The programme includes scientific presentations, poster sessions, and more than 20 topical workshops and trainings held throughout the event. Registration remains open, and travel and registration support is available for participants from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds through The Ocean Foundation’s EquiSea Initiative, which aims to broaden access to the symposium for researchers who would otherwise face financial barriers to attending.
