Travel Support for Early-Career Scientists – Workshop on Charting the Future of Ocean Passive Acoustics
The Workshop on Charting the Future of Ocean Passive Acoustics: From Observations to Science and Management, taking place on 22–24 September 2026 in Oostende, Belgium, will bring together researchers and other experts to explore the use of passive acoustic observations for ocean science and management. The workshop will provide opportunities for knowledge exchange, scientific collaboration, and discussion of future activities in the field. Limited travel support is available for early-career scientists, including students and researchers within 10 years of their last degree, to support participation in person. Support may cover registration fees, travel and/or local costs, subject to available funding and potential co-funding. Applicants may also request support for online participation if full in-person travel costs cannot be covered. Applications for early-career support must be submitted by 15 August 2026 (midnight UTC).
