SCAR Fellowship Programme 2026

The SCAR Fellowship Programme supports early-career researchers working in Antarctic and Southern Ocean research by enabling them to join research teams, laboratories, or institutes in another SCAR member country. The programme aims to strengthen international scientific cooperation, develop long-term research collaborations, and build global capacity in Antarctic science. Fellowships support research activities across disciplines including marine science, climate science, biodiversity, polar systems, social sciences, and humanities related to Antarctica and the Southern Ocean. Selected fellows receive funding support for collaborative research visits and international mobility.
