Singapore AUV challenge (SAUVC)

The Singapore AUV challenge – is announced for 14-17 March 2025 :-).

SAUVC is a Decade-endorsed activity. It is the largest underwater student/ECOP robotics competition in Asia-Europe, and attracts ~80 teams every year of which ~40 participate in person at the final competition in Singapore. SAUVC brings together student teams from around the world to participate by building underwater robots and performing pre-set tasks in a pool, challenging each other. The tasks are relevant to real marine-robotics applications, the intent is to get teams to appreciate nuances involved in building effective technologies underwater in a hands-on way. Teams that complete tasks are scored based on pre-set criteria after a qualification round. Best-performing teams are awarded. Newcomer-teams/high-school students are encouraged with new-entrant awards. The competition is focused around early-career ocean professionals (ECOPs) and students. It has a social nature, with the main aim being a learning experience.
