ECOP Africa attends the Geo Blue Planet Symposium in Accra, Ghana

A few months ago we talked to Fifi Adodo, who was helping to organize the Geo Blue Planet Symposium; an event “designed to encourage Interaction, Networking, and State-of-the-art scientific knowledge outreach particularly with African institutions/organizations”.

We thought we would follow up and share with the ECOP community some photos of former Africa Node coordinator Gabriel Juma Akoko participating at the Symposium last month.

Gabriel said: “We shared our perspectives on the need for stakeholder engagement in earth observation and ocean conservation, and highlighted the role of ECOPs in this process. We are engaging ECOPs from Africa in our webinar series and we look forward to develop projects or activities that aim at enhancing ocean conservation and sustainability.”
