Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership — Fourth Joint Transnational Call

SBEP’s Fourth Joint Transnational Call funds transnational research consortia (36-month projects) addressing sustainable blue economy transformation across four priority areas: transitioning blue economy sectors, ecosystem-based sea-use management, sustainable marine bioresources, and coastal community resilience. Geographic coverage: Europe (plus Brazil, Georgia, Tunisia, Türkiye, Ukraine among the 28 participating countries); projects must address at least two European sea basins (Baltic, Black Sea, Mediterranean, North Sea, Atlantic). Total budget is approximately €38 million across 28 participating countries. Consortia need partners from at least three participating countries and funding requests from at least three funding organisations. As of this writing the call is in its pre-proposal/matchmaking phase (matchmaking event and partner search tool open from 14 September, information webinar 29 September); pre-proposals are due 16 November 2026, with full proposals due 14 June 2027.
