Rolex Explorers Club Grant 2027

The Explorers Club, in partnership with Rolex, is accepting applications for the Rolex Explorers Club Grant, which supports fieldwork addressing a novel scientific, environmental or historical question. Grants are USD 10,000. Funds cover lodging, meals, transportation, field supplies and equipment, communications and shipping. They do not cover visas, immunisations, tuition, salaries or institutional overhead. Applicants need a clear scientific rationale, original work, and a demonstrated spirit of exploration with potential for significant impact. Explorers Club membership is not required. Applicants must secure any required permits before or during the fieldwork, and ethics and permits receive close attention during peer review. Project duration is set by the applicant through proposed start and end dates. Applications close on 14 September 2026 at 6:00 PM ET for the 2027 field season.
