JPI Oceans Photo and Art Contest

The JPI Oceans Photo and Art Contest is an international competition launched to celebrate the organisation’s 15th anniversary by inviting artists, photographers, and ocean enthusiasts worldwide to engage with ocean science through visual storytelling. Participants are encouraged to submit artworks or photographs inspired by JPI Oceans Joint Actions, including topics such as deep-sea ecosystems, ocean carbon processes, and marine environmental change. The competition aims to bridge science and society by using art to communicate complex ocean issues in accessible and engaging ways. Submissions are open globally, and selected works will be showcased through JPI Oceans communication channels and exhibitions. Winners of the contest receive prizes, including monetary awards and/or recognition through official JPI Oceans platforms and visibility opportunities.
