DESCRIPTION:The IEEE OES AUV Symposium\n19 – 21 September\, National University of Singapore \nThis collaborative symposium is now an official Decade of Ocean Science Activity sponsored by IEEE OES\, every two years. It aims to bring together those working in the field of marine robotics\, including but not limited to autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV)\, to exchange new knowledge and explore future directions. \nhttps://www.auv2022.org \nThe 2022 symposium will be followed by the popular robotics competition Singapore AUV Challenge (SAUVC)\, where participant teams are challenged to build an AUV which can perform given tasks in a pool. SUMMARY:ICES Annual Science Conference 2022\, Aviva Stadium\, Dublin\, Ireland
DESCRIPTION:This year’s ASC will be organized as a hybrid conference with options for both on site and online participation.\nWhat does this mean?\n\n\n​​​​​​We will be using Whova\, a conference app\, to faciliate the hybrid format. Many conference elements will be available online via the app. However\, there are some events that will only be available for participants that join us in person in Dublin. \nDownload the conference app. ​ \nEvents available both online and on site\n  \n​​Presentations and posters \nAll presentations and posters will be accesible via the conference app. Registered participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the presenters via the app. \nThe presentations and posters will be available to view two weeks before the conference starts and for two weeks after the conference ends\, so that everyone has plenty of time to view them. \nRead the guidelines for presenters.​ \nTheme sessions \nTheme session conveners are encouraged to organize their sessions in an interactive way. \nAll theme sessions will be livestreamed via our conference app. Online participants can ask questions to session conveners and presenters via the app. \nKeynote speeches \nAll keynotes will take place live at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin as well as being livestreamed via our conference app. \n​Events happening in Dublin only\nFlash presentations\n\n\n\n​Each conference day in Dublin will start with a flash presentation session. All presenters (oral and poster) from the day’s theme sessions will give 2-minute flash talks with the main highlights of their work. This will not be livestreamed on the app. You must be present in Dublin to present your work live and to see the flash presentations. \nPoster session \nA poster session is organized on Tuesday 20 September. Poster presenters will be available to talk about their work and answer questions. \nEarly career scientist events \nEarly career scientist events will take place at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. More information will follow later in the spring. \nSocial events \nThere will be a number of social events taking place at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin\, including a welcome reception and conference dinner.
