The NSF OOI’s overall mission is to be a community-inspired and community-serving large-scale research facility enabling ocean science research by collecting, archiving, and distributing quality oceanic and marine atmospheric data. The “Early Career Scientists” component aims to support and engage the next generation of oceanographers in utilizing this data and participating in oceanographic research.
